借条和欠条的区别：

1.借条证明借款关系，欠条证明欠款关系。借款肯定是欠款，但欠款则不一定是借款。

2.借条本身并非借款合同，只是一般的书面或口头借款合同的证明和凭证。

3.欠条通常是由于债务人打欠条之前，双方已经济往来（这种经济往来多以买卖合同居多）。债务人应当向债权人支付货款，但因为种种原因，在债务人不能及时还款的情况下，双方达成合意和妥协，由债务人写下欠条，等到日后归还。欠条是对以往双方经济往来的一种结算，表明自欠条形成之日起双方之间形成的一种新的纯粹的债权债务关系。

4.借条形成的原因是特定的借款事实；欠条形成的原因很多，可以基于多种事实而产生，如因买卖产生的欠款，因劳务产生的欠款，因企业承包产生的欠款，因损害赔偿产生的欠款，等等。

5.当借条持有者凭借条向法院起诉后，由于通过借条本身较易于识辨和认定当事人之间存在的借款事实，借条持有者一般只需向法官简单地陈述借款的事实经过即可，对方要抗辩或抵赖一般都很困难。

The room facing south is the main room. The head of the family lives in this room. The rooms connecting the main houses are called “side houses”.
