My view on generation gap
Nowadays, more and more people are talking about generation gap, but what is it? In my views, generation gap is just a kind of misunderstanding of love.
As we grow up, we want to have our own life, we want to keep our own secret and we just want to get out of control of our parents. However, our parents are always thinking we are unable to be totally independent. No matter how old we are, we are forever children in our parents’ eyes. And they are just like robust trees to protect us saplings from the wind and rain. Endless words are just a way they show their love, but their love has become unbearable pressure to us. We feel uncomfortable and we have no freedom.
When I was in high school, my mother always called me 3 times a day to ask me too many questions. “Are their some things funny?” “Did you do well in today’s examination?” “How’s the food in the dining hall?” just endless questions. One day I finally couldn’t stand it and I argued with my mom in the phone. But argument can never solve problems and it is like a sharp knife that will hurt both of us.
What we need is understanding. We should learn to think on others’ side. As for our parents, they should know that there is inevitability of cold winds in our life. This is a competitive world, and only if they give us freedom to face the hardship in our life can we live our own life. Coddling and too much caring can never make a boy become a real man. What’s more, our society doesn’t need anyone who expects to be waited on hand and foot. As for us children, we must keep in mind that family is the warmest harbor and our parents give us selfless love that asks us for no pay. We should know that when they are calling us, they just want to know more about us. When they ask us some questions about computers, iphones, or some websites, they just want to keep up with the time and fashion and have more topics with us.
Generation gap is not as serious as we think. But it’s becoming a social problem. Both parents and their children should learn to understand each other. When they have different opinions, they can communicate more instead of arguing. I believe this kind of gap is actually a kind of love!

On the Generation Gap Nowadays, many young people are complaining that their parents can not understand them very well. They say that their parents take care of every aspect of their lives, leaving them unable to have their private space. While parents are worried that their children don't show any respect to them and never give them any trust.It is the “Generation Gap” But someone think it’s not that serious,because the children and parents can bridge the “Generation Gap”by communication.In other words,the “Generation Gap”can be removed by children and parents exchange views with each other in patience.
In my opinion, I think we should first admit that there are indeed some differences between parents and children. Then, we should try to take some time to communicate with each other frequently. Not only the parents, but also the kids should be equal when exchanging their views. Only by their joint efforts can the parents and children bridge the generation gap between them.
